Despite the numerous islands it has, still there are some that remain untouched, even more, undiscovered worldwide. One of these is Samal Island located within the coast of Davao Gulf.

Canibad Beach

Canibad beach doesn't boast luxurious cottages or rooms. It doesn't even have any facilities to cater the needs of the visitors. It is a beach best known to be untouched by commercialization and unknown to some people yet. The rustic cottages were the simplest ones. No restaurants so you have to bring your own foods or buy freshly caught kinds of seafood directly from the local fishermen.

What makes Canibad a truly must-visit and one of the best beaches is... its pristine blue waters. The amazing scenery makes the photographers go crazy. Today, Canibad has been the favorite destination for those seeking rustic solitude without spending quite a few bucks.

I personally think that the beaches in the Philippines are underestimated ones in the world. They are also not promoted as other beaches are being promoted on various travel shows. But, when I look at the posted images, only one word comes to my mind i.e. 'Heavenly'.

I love Davao cause I born and raise in the land of promise, but to be honest, many visitors from Manila are disappointed and many of my friends too, the picture above so lovely and beautiful but in the reality if you visit these place it can tell another story, blue jazz, paradise island, some fancy resort, private own, only 200 meters to 400 mtrs stretch of powdery sand with entrance fee, 100 to 200 fee per h. This is not paradise, I think the best beaches to visit in Davao is dahican beach long stretch kilometer powdery sand beautiful scenic view, crystal clear water you can run, walk the entire beach shoreline back and forth without entrance fee . Samal need to change cause the sea concreat wall boundary every distance are distracting the beauty of samal coast. Government should act. The private resort should not extending their boundary wider up to the 500 meters to the water so distracting. Every citizen has a right to access and enjoy the beauty of this island shore but samal can tell another story.

I love island beaches. Most of these are picturesque, very neat and clean and some give a virgin look. I am impressed by the crystal clear water at Paradise Island. It reminds me of some destinations in Andaman and Nicobar in India. Thanks for sharing this beautiful Hub. Thumbed Up!
