Red Square and Kremlin, Moscow

State Historical Museum, Red Square

State historical museum is a historic museum that represents Russian history. Millions of collections can be found in this museum. In Moscow, red square, this buildings easily attracts visitors because of its building’s design and structure. This historic museum was build in 1872.

Kazan Cathedral at Red Square, Moscow

This is the cathedral which was destroyed but again rebuilt by talented architect Oleg Zhurin. First construction begin in 17th century by the great architect called Pyotr Baranovsky. Kazan Cathedral is located on north side corner of red square, Moscow. A tower bell is located on north-east corner, this is truly a great place to visit and see the Russian architecture type cathedral.

Red Square

In this picture you can see, why the Red Square got its name - the reason are the thousands of red bricks it is laid with. Another version is, Russian word "Krasnaya", which stands for "red", can also mean "beautiful", "charming". And it is marvelous indeed. Isn't it?

Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow

St. Basil's Cathedral

This place is not less popular with tourists, than the Red Square. Maybe, it is its unusual, picturesque look, that attracts people - it looks like a brightly colored Easter egg. Or is it its rich history? Whatever, thousands of people from all around the world come to see it. The former Orthodox cathedral is now a museum.

Stroginskiy Bridge, Moscow

It is a transport bridge which connects two big districts of Moscow. It was constructed by engineers Gruganova and Gorozhaninov and opened in 1981.

Ostankino Palace

To build Ostankino Palace it took 8 years! Construction started in 1790 and completed in 1798. It is a wooden building and 3rd largest wooden building in the world. This is one of the best tourist destinations in Moscow. There are ancient collectibles inside the palace.

Annunication Cathedral in Moscow

It is situated in the Kremlin and connected directly with the main building of it. This Orthodox building used to be a personal chapel of tsars of the Russian Empire, it was the place where the royals got married and baptized children.

Cathedral of Christ the Saviour, Moscow

Here is another famous church in Moscow. It is known to be the tallest Orthodox church in the world. The building was ordered to by designed by Russian emperor Alexander I, and the project was made by Aleksandr Vitberg.

Have you ever thought that there are 21 bells in a tower? It is true that Ivan the Great Bell Tower has 21 bells total. In Russia, it is one of the tallest buildings. It is height is about 81 metres, and was built in 1508.
