A Vacation to Remember!

Updated on August 19, 2014

A Vacation with a Bonus!

When things are stressed, gas prices are crazy, and you just need to unwind, where can you go, what can you do?

Well, first of all, put your feet up, chill out, and you can be amazed at what is just around the corner ~ or in your own home! Without the added road miles and gas stations, you could quite possibly have time to do things you've been dreaming of...

Well, let's not take a rest stop, let's get started on our staycation!

All photos taken by me ~ Bev Lemley. All rights reserved.

Within a few minutes of my staycation, you will find me... - In the garden! Ahh, the perfect start!

A walk in the garden... - ...so peaceful!

Well, what do you know! - A ladybug taking a walk too!

Butterflies and Sunshine... - ...living the dream! And saving time and money!

Even if it rains .. - ...I can have fun ~ I'll hunt for Nature's Art Work!

Break time! - Perfect to catch up on my reading!

One of my favorite magazines, "Living Without"!

Living Without's Gluten Free & More
Living Without's Gluten Free & More

While I'm having my gluten-free snack, I can read up on the latest about celiac disease and gluten sensitivity and intolerance ~ and maybe find some great new recipes I can try out on my staycation!

If I feel like humming... - ...why not?!

Bees on the Butterfly Bush... - ...painting me a picture!

Or I'll just sit... - ...and dream big dreams!

Even the pets are dreamin' - ...and benefiting from the purr-fect staycation, too!

Shhh... - ...the bees are worn out!

There is one thing pressing for time... - ...These rare beauties open in the afternoon for a few hours...

...but we've got time ~ or TOMORROW!

Makes Cents!

With less miles on the road, I have more time for things I enjoy at home ~ makes cents!

Do you prefer a Staycation? - Or a Vacation?

Do the hassles of making it out the door and spending on gas just leave you drained or is it worth it for a few days away?

Or do you find a staycation fits you perfectly, and you enjoy one as often as you can ~ besides that, it's virtually free!

Do you enjoy a staycation?

A staycation leaves you more rested... - ...and with more money in your pocket

A staycation will leave you more rested...or will it?

Yes! And more money in your pocket!

I like to stay home and work on my trains or build things with my son. The only place I like to travel is to visit my parents in Bishop (about a 4 hour drive).

Absolutely. Most people come home to recover from a vacation.

Definitely saves money and leaves you more rested.

@Diana Wenzel: That's a great attitude! And a lot cheaper, and sometimes, we don't have any choice, so it's good to appreciate where we are for the time being ~ you're right! Thank you so much for your kind visit! Thanks for stopping by! B : )

Gorgeous photographic bliss. Why would anyone leave such beauty? If we look closely, pause, breathe deeply, we will find everything we need right where we are.

@LittleLindaPinda: You're right about that resting part! I didn't think about that! Now if it was designated vacation time, and no housework was allowed...but then that would be like coming home after a vacation, only worse, no one cleaned up behind you! On second thought, maybe a vacation would be nice! B : )

There are definite benefits to staying home but I doubt that I would rest very much.
