A cottage with beams and original fire places

Chiserley Field Side is one of a few terraced cottages with their own, private road and parking outside the house. You will enter the cottage by the front door and find yourself in the living room, complete with beamed ceiling and stone fireplace. Sadly, the stove has been replaced since this photo was taken, but it would be easy to install a new one!

A generous window has views over the village and lets in plenty of light.

The Countryside is Wonderful

And it's on The Pennine Way

Hebden Bridge is a pretty market town with a vibrant community. It has a fabulous station which links the town to Manchester and York. Old Town is situated above Hebden Brige on the top of a hill and receives so much sun that the Romans used to cultivate grape vines here.

There's a scenic river flowing through the town and beautiful canals complete with barges. Many of the old factories have been converted and Hebden Bridge has recently been splendidly updated.

Not far away is Haworth of Wuthering Heights fame and Holmfirth where Last of the Summer Wine was filmed.

Looks a lovely spot, almost as nice as Sowerby Bridge. Great lens was interested to learn about the Roman's growing vines at Old Town, I was pointing a chimney stack there at he start of the week and it was perishing. Growing grapes was the last thing that would have occurred to me.

@Brandi Bush: I know I've been trying to persuade everyone to move to Limousin in France, but I moved here because I so loved all the hills and woods around Hebden Bridge that I wanted the same - but with long, hot summers and plenty of sunshine! Thanks for leaving a message mamabush.

@Spiderlily321: Yes, it is lovely there, just a shame I don't have pictures of the exterior. Will have to wait for the agent to go and get them as I can hardly 'pop' over from France!
