Seat Belt Pillow - Highly recommended

I wish I’d had one of these lovely soft car seat belt pillows when my son was a little boy. It would have really helped him enjoy his car trips a lot more and it would have helped me relax knowing that he was comfortable enough to fall asleep without hurting his neck.

I am really into travel and so when I find things that makes traveling easier I focus in on them!

My friend uses one of these, and she tells me that it has changed her life! She inspired me to tell you about them.

She has a young child and they have a 45 minute drive to and from school each day. The morning used to be difficult, because her boy would inevitably fell asleep with his poor little head bobbing all over the place. Also, the seat belt used to dig into his neck because he was a bit too low in the seat. He had a booster seat and that lifted him up a bit higher in his seat, but it made the belt dig into his neck even further!

This seat belt pillow solves all these problems, and now my friend’s son sleeps soundly all the way to school and often all the way home too!

  • they hold the head in the right position
  • they are soft and very comfortable
  • they attach easily with Velcro
  • they are cotton so they keep you fresh
  • you can easily remove the cover to wash them.
  • they fit any model car and come in really funky colors.

These seat belt pillows work very well indeed.

I like them so much I’m going to buy one for my son even though he’s 14! We’re planning a drive across Europe in the summer and he must have all his creature comforts – or else!!

Highly recommended by a real life mum.

This used to happen to my son too. I was reduced to pinning his seat belt back onto the seat with a safety pin in order to stop it bothering him when we went on long drives to Scotland. However, this didn’t really work because the pins would soon bend and so he’d soon be complaining that the belt digging into him again.

It was horrible and quite upsetting. I remember having to stop and let him run around so many times and then having difficulties persuading him to get back into the car.

The only solution that actually worked was for me to sit next to him and hold the belt myself. That ended up in giving me a pain in the arm!!

Here's another version on this. There use to be avid

Seat Pets

While I was researching these products I came across these Seat Pets. I haven't actually seen one in action, but the video above shows a child trying her one out and giving us her impressions and feedback. The video is an independent review and not made by the company.

The nice thing about them, and it's what attracted my attention is that they are also a toy, and children can store their special little things in them too.

You'll see in the video that water bottles, no matter how small, don't work, but things like snacks, colouring pencils, tissues, etc fit nicely into the pockets that are sewn into the strap part of the belt.

They look comfortable and they certainly help to keep the child's head up.

Seat Belt Safety

The video

This video is beautiful and in my opinion works so well because it shows how much love we have in our lives. We must take care of our loved ones and friends when we drive.

I know that you always think and make sure your kids are secure, but did you know that a baby's seat should not be used with an airbag? I didn't! So what else aren't you aware of?

@Max Globe: I think they're good if you need to rest your head on long car trips because they stop the belt rubbing on your neck. Thanks very much for your visit.

@Elsie Hagley: They used to do that to my mum too because she was shorter. I think this could b the solution to the problem!! Thanks for your visit and for your comment.

I like that, I think I need one in the front seat, not to use for sleeping, but Im shorter and always pulling and losing off the belt, as it cuts into my neck.

What a clever idea. I hadn't seen these before, but now I'd like one too. Only problem is I'm usually driving! Seems a must for kids though!
