Snohomish County, WA
Heritage of Beautiful Snohomish County
When checking the 1930 United States Census, we found my great grandfather, John. L. Shannon, living just a few blocks away from our current address in Everett, WA. A recent arrival from Minnesota, my great grandfather worked in the timber business here in Snohomish County. From a hard working timber town, to the center of world avionics and trade, Everett now welcomes families for high tech jobs, as well as our Northwest lifestyle.
There's so much to enjoy in Snohomish County, Washington State. Even though I've lived here all of my life, I still discover new favorite places. There are dramatic mountains in Darrington, wild rivers through Granite Falls, and the busy, shop filled waterfronts of Edmonds.
Close by, you'll find great swimming holes in the Stillaguamish river near Arlington just begging for a swim. The clear waters of the North Fork of the Stilly is something you've just got to experience! Edmonds and Mukilteo beaches offer wonderful strolls and beach combing for a perfect way to spend your afternoon.
Regardless of the weather, our local scenery beckons you into the countryside. Visit our friendly, nearby towns like Arlington, Sultan, and their friendly shopping areas. Come and share a picnic with friends in Everett's Forrest Park, and bring your camera. It's beautiful here.

Come on, we know you have some more room in your backpack to carry a few more books. Or, you could grab a few more fly fishing lures, or find a better guide for traveling the back roads of Washington. We're truly privileged to be able to look outside and see the beautiful mountains, wild and scenic rivers, and explore the wildlife and waterways of the Pacific Northwest. A good local guide book is a great way to discover what to visit first, and what seasons and locations offer the best camping, fishing, hiking, hunting, or rock climbing opportunities.
