A variety of lunch and dinner menus are available to residents and non-residents of The Taynuilt Hotel. Sample menu ideas can be found on the hotel's official website, a link to which is featured further down this page. The photographs to the right are but a small sample of the delicious dishes served at very reasonable prices.

The lounge area at The Taynuilt Hotel is not of course just for dining. A variety of special food related events regularly take place, with Monday night being Quiz Night, when quiz entry and a supper costs only £5 per person. Every night is a night for relaxing in the comfortable seating and surrounds of the lounge, with a drink from the well stocked bar, served by one of the very friendly and welcoming staff.

Dinner is served in the lounge from 5.30pm until 9pm, with the bar open until 11pm during the week and 1am on Fridays and Saturdays. These same licensing hours also apply to the Public Bar.

The public bar of The Taynuilt Hotel is also known as The Village Bar. It is where locals and residents alike go to enjoy a drink, socialise, watch sport on TV, or even enjoy a game of darts. The bar also has its own bar meal and snack menu. If you are staying at The Taynuilt Hotel, you may wish to enjoy your evening meal in the lounge, before visiting the public bar to meet the friendly local people of Taynuilt. Be aware, however, that the bar area is much smaller and seats or bar space will be at a premium at traditionally busier times.

Although Taynuilt is a fairly small village, the Main Street has such as a Post Office, a general store, a butcher's shop, a baker's shop and even a unisex hair salon. Following the Main Street is also the quickest route by road down to Loch Etive from The Taynuilt Hotel.

Twenty miles long, Loch Etive affords some spectacular mountain scenery. There are also boat trips available on the loch and sea fishing trips can be arranged from Taynuilt Fishing Club, just a couple of miles away at AIrds Bay. More details of fishing Loch Etive can be found and seen via the link below:

Hi, Richard. Thanks for the visit and comment. Funnily enough, it must be the best part of twenty years since I first visited the Taynuilt Hotel. It is basically, so far as I can recall, still laid out in the same way and a great place to visit and stay.

I stayed at this hotel what must be about 20 years ago. Glad to see it's still there and hasn't changed much so far as I can see. Great site and thanks for the memories.
