Whether you are traveling for business or pleasure, a travel pillow and blanket could be just the thing to take the edge off, of all the inevitable delays and just the plain tiredness that traveling can sometimes bring.

So rarely does a journey go totally smoothly, but when you have your own travel blanket with you, you know that whenever you a moment to rest you can whip it out and wrap yourself in it.

And when at last you on board, you do not have to wait to be given an airplane blanket, before you can settle down, put up your feet, snuggle into your own and sleep in comfort, if that is what you are inclined to do.

Here we have some of the most popular travel sets available online.

A Travel Blanket and Pillow is Practical and They Look Chic Too!

Great for a Gift

Do you have a person on your list that travels a lot? Then if they do not yet have a travel pillow and blanket set, this would be much appreciated gift.

There are so many beautiful sets to choose from, so there is much to choose from.

This a gift that shows you care, and can be enjoyed by the person that gets it for a long time!

Its hard enough falling asleep in a chilly cabin, but we can no longer rely on the airlines providing this essential service, but these days you cannot rely on the airlines giving you one. And when they do provide a blanket, you may have to pay for the dubious 'privilege' of a less then sanitary airplane blanket that leaves your feet exposed and keeps sliding off.

But now you do not have to settle anymore, because with the wide range of travel pillow and blanket sets available you can say 'no' to standard airline issue blankets and pillows. Just carry your own clean, cozy blanket and pillow for those long flights!

Created by a flight attendant with over 17 years experience, the PamBee Luxury Set was created to fill in the need for travelers for a perfect airplane blanket on long flights. The set consists of a blanket, eye mask and pillow, all fitting into a pillowcase.

The whole thing is thin enough to fit into any carry on bag, or large sized purse. Made of two fabrics, silky on the outside with a micro-suede lining, it is extremely soft to the touch, warm and comfortable. With its generous 50" x 60" size, it will cover most people with room to spare and is long enough to keep your toes cozy. The inflatable pillow is easy to blow up to your comfort level, it is the same size as an airline pillow, so you can exchange replace it easily if you need to. The large eye mask keeps out the light during the many times the lights are switched on and off during a flight.

This is a luxurious comfy airplane blanket, that is easy to carry with you wherever you go.

Cabin Cuddler Travel Blanket & Pillow Combo

Made by an airline pilot, the Cabin Cuddler has a unique patented design that can wrap most people from your shoulders and including your feet all warm and snug. Created by Jim Levings, after noticing how hard it was for passengers to stay wrapped and warm with skimpy airline blankets, with the blankets slipping of shoulders and almost always exposing ones feet.

He came up with a design where the top of the blanket is shaped as a torso wrap, while the bottom is contoured to cradle your feet and legs in warmth, and is both large enough to wrap round most people. The Cabin Cuddler travel blanket does not slip whether you are sleeping, reading a book or typing away at your laptop. It comes with a tote-bag that transforms into a pillow when you using the blanket, just inflate to the desired firmness and you have a hygienic airplane pillow.

  • Contour-cut covers every inch of your body.

  • Carry-on "stuff-bag" fits over luggage handle.

  • Patented foot pocket keeps feet warm

  • Comfortably fits someone who is 6 ft tall

  • Cozy shoulder and arm wrap wings

I've always believed the blankets and pillows on planes are germ magnets -- if you can get them at all. I certainly wouldn't pay money to rent them. A travel blanket set makes a nice gift. The cabin cuddler would put me right to sleep.

There's nothing like a good neck pillow on flights. Sitting for hours on end can get so uncomfortable.

One of the best investments we ever made was a travel pillow for our daughter when she was still very young. Keeping that little head supported properly kept her in a much better mood on long car trips. I don't fly often, but when I do I use a travel pillow.

The special pillow is almost a must. My greatest problem is to sit so straight up though. I used to travel a lot but lately I have not.

I don't fly but if traveling in the car, would take a cozy travel blanket and if staying away overnight, I would take my own pillow ...

None really. I depend on the ones given by airlines. I hardly sleep in the plane anyway.
