Vacation Mississippi Gulf Coast

Updated on March 3, 2014

Vacation on the Mississippi Gulf Coast

Yes, back in August of 2005 Hurricane Katrina hit the Mississippi Gulf Coast hard, very hard.

However, we are in recovery although, many families are still suffering from such a hard hit.

Nevertheless, the businesses on the Mississippi Gulf Coast have been working overtime since that hurricane to get as much as possible built back up.

However, before reading this lens, I do want you to know that if and when you decide to vacation on the Gulf Coast, you really should consider checking the weather reports to find out if there is any threatening weather such as a hurricane brewing out in the warm coastal waters. The reason for this is that living in the midst of a hurricane can be devastating for the people who live in the area, it is nearly unbearable but, you do the best you can with what you have or what you can get a hold of when things are at near standstill.

Therefore, in my mind, vacationing during hurricane season might not produce the vacationing experience that you desire or expect.
