There's a lot of fun to be had exploring the explorers Lewis and Clark in this area. Just a few experiences & places to see include:

Lewis and Clark National and State Historical Park

Discovery Trail: This eight-mile traces Clark’s journey along the Pacific coastline, from Ilwaco to north Long Beach. The trail is highlighted by interpretive markers and is partially paved.

The Lewis & Clark Interpretive Center: read entries from original journals of the explorers and view paintings & photographs of their historic trek.

      That really is a LONG beach! I've never heard of it until now. I'm accustomed to Long Beach in Southern California, with a beach that's about four miles long. The one you're talking about in Washington is WAY longer.
