Exploring This Butler County Town
Whitewater is slightly off the beaten track. I visited it because I have a relative staying at Wheat State Manor in Whitewater.
Although I'd been to the nursing home a number of times, this time I took the time to wander around town. If you're in the area, I'd recommend stopping by to see some of the architectural gems in this small Kansas town.
I'll give you a glimpse with some photos and descriptions below, that way, even if you're unable to visit in person, you can enjoy this quaint town via photography.

Looks Like a Sleepy Little Town - at first glance
Actually there's more going on in Whitewater than the relatively empty streetscape shows. Browse below to see some of the businesses and some interesting architectural sights in the small town.

Some of the town's buildings are beautiful both inside and outside. From murals to vintage ceiling tiles, I hope you enjoy the trip through some of these via my photography.
I really enjoyed taking photos in this small town that day! There really was much more to see than I anticipated. I love looking through these again and again. They bring back lovely memories of an enjoyable day...
