Paraglider on HubPages

"to look, with equal non-attachment, at a piece of gold, a stone, or a piece of dirt" - (Bhagavad Gita).

Of course, that's an ideal and impossible to live up to, but it has been a great help to me in my travels. And I travel a lot. Originally from Scotland, I've worked, mainly in Broadcast Engineering, in such foreign places as England (!), most of Western Europe, Poland, East Germany, India, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, the Gulf States, South Africa, Sudan, Canada and that strangest of all, the USA.

When not working or writing on HubPages, I play Classic & Flamenco guitar, write poetry (I am a moderator at Sonnet Central) and walk a great deal, even in the extreme climate of the Gulf.

Thank you for reading me on Hubpages. My most nearly autobiographical hub is Zen & the Art of Paragliding where you can learn where my assumed name came from. If you would like to read my poems, or other writings, you'll find them on my personal website, where you'll discover that my real name is Dave McClure. Except now you already know! And of course you're very welcome at The Paranormal Hotel.

Please also visit Dropout Nation, our cooperative effort for peace, awareness and conviviality, where you'll find articles by many favourite hub authors.

Classical guitar is some tough playing. I'm impressed since most guitarists nowadays only do power chords or guitar hero.

Just read one of your hubs yet ... and, now, having seen your profile, here I am signing up as your latest fan. I look forward to reading some of your other hubs in due course.

Isn't HubPages great, with a Scottish gentleman writing about Shishas and hookahs, and an Indian having written about golf! :)
