I received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Gannon University in 1981, a Master of Science Degree in Pastoral Counseling from Neumann College in 1986. I am a member of the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress.
My career has given me experience in counseling children, adolescents, adults, and families. I've worked in the areas of child protection, mental retardation, addiction treatment, and youth ministry. Currently, I work as a Mobile Therapist and Behavior Specialist in Blair and surrounding counties in Pennsylvania. I specializes in the treatment of children and adolescents with stress disorders.
I've just started a new project, PARENT COACHING, and am looking forward to serving lots of parents and children who either do not have or do not want a mental health diagnosis just to get some help for behavior or parenting problems.
I'm fortunate to have several published articles and a book on youth ministry. I'm currently working on a book about treatment approaches for children with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. I have experience in speaking and teaching large groups in my areas of expertise.
I'm a long time amateur magician, and use magic to entertain and as therapy for children, am a recumbent cyclist, and enjoy painting watercolors. I live in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, with my wife Anne, and sons thekrillsta and littlekrill.
