Relevance of Cartoons In Modern Times.

Cartoon is a noble art. This art has the capacity to touch society and can reform it. This art has been there for long and still continues to grow. A person who reads a magazine first look at the cartoons. Yes that fact tells the truth that cartoons are simple yet powerful.

How to learn to draw cartoons :

You can become a good cartoonist by having the right attitude and improving your drawing skills. By right attitude I mean the habit of viewing every incidents in your life from a humorous perspective. You can observe the humour in all situations. If any of your cartoons fails then you shouldn't stop drawing cartoons - draw the next one with greater enthusiasm. Have a determination that you will succeed in your next attempt and act. I have seen many people leaving cartoon drawing when they cant draw well the first time. Remember that as you practice you will improve your skills.

Observing situations, expressions, objects : Make sure that you develop the habit to observe the expressions in people's face when they talk, walk , travel etc. Also observe clearly the movements of animals and birds. Whatever your surroundings are observe them.

Now coming to drawing skills, you can practice at least 2 hours a day to improve your drawing skills.First practice drawing some lines - vertical and horizontal. As you practice the lines will become straight as if drawn with a ruler.Once you are satisfied you can work on drawing curved lines. Watch the 2 videos below and follow them. They will teach you the basics of drawing cartoons.

How To Draw

First draw using a pencil . You can make corrections as you wish. Once you are satisfied with your cartoon, you can color the outlines with pen.

      I like your suggestion of starting from the very beginning: draw lines. It may sound boring, but I agree it can be a necessary phase.
