It Makes Me Stronger
Hey, watcha' got there?
Oh, you’re picking up your heart
You almost left it behind didn’t you?
You’ll need those pieces to make a new start
You’re in slack water now
The tide hasn’t decided which way to go
Don’t do what most people do
You can float in still waters and let fate take it slow
You just have to accept it next time around
It doesn’t matter how old you are
Mistakes make the man
Mock me all you want
It just makes me stronger
Is happiness something to dig for?
Or is it buried with a loved one?
The fantasy of who they were
Is stronger than the next one
But don’t go there so fast
Don’t paint everything the colors of your dreams
It's more than their picture on the wall
Living with reality is not always as bad as it seems
You just have to accept it this time around
It doesn’t matter how old you are
Mistakes make the man
Mock me all you want
It just makes me stronger
