I have always been interested in stress and pain management. My professional background is in anesthesia.
I have been a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for over 37 years specializing in pain management. I am most happy when working in the Obstetrical Areas providing pain relief for mothers to be in labor and being apart of the birth of their new baby. Very happy times. Way to the other side of life...I had most satisfying experiences working in the Army Hospitals during my time in the Army Reserves and the 3 years working with our Veterans at the VA Hospital in Cleveland, OH. You learn a lot about life and living in these areas.
I have been an owner of a Physical Therapy Center with a Physical Therapist for 10 years. We were one of the first centers in the Cleveland, OH area to incorporate alternative therapies such as massotherapy, yoga and meditation and acupuncture with conventional physical therapy modalities for pain management.
I have utilized stress management techniques in my practice and understands how everyday life can influence people's health and well-being.I found in my years dealing with stress and pain clients that the more stress they were under at home or work, the more their pain increased. This is especially pronounce in people that suffer from headaches and back pain.
Unfortunately, people often did not take the time to identify the stress or try to do anything about it.
It now seems to be in this fast paced and unsure world that we live in, stress has increased. The good thing is that people are more receptive to finding ways to decrease their stressand pain and learn how to manage and relive it.
I hope that some of the resources I have found and reviews I supply will help people help themselves and be able to live a happier and less stressful life.
