Patrick Widdess

Patrick Widdess is a writer from Cambridge. He has had poems and articles published in the UK and abroad in publications including Orbis, The Guardian and R2. He is a popular performance poet and was a finalist in the Cambridge heat of the Hammer & Tongue national Poetry Slam in 2011. In 2012 he reached the national final.
He presents a show on community radio station Cambridge 105 in which he combines his love of music and spoken word. The show has included exclusive interviews and performances with many writers and musicians including John Hegley, Luke Wright, Hollie McNish, John Otway and Wild Willy Barret.

Patrick is also an award winning photographer who has exhibited in group and solo exhibitions in the UK and Japan. His photos have appeared in the Guardian and Photography Monthly.
When he is not writing or taking photos he teaches English as a Foreign language, and has spent periods living in Greece, China, Japan and most recently Poland.
