I've been writing professionally almost all my life. Much of it has been for newspapers, some of it for magazines.
Along the way, I picked up the ususal university degrees in Journalism, English, Humanities, education. I tought writing at the high school and college levels for a few years, and then returned to writing, maybe as a little better writer for having the experience. The right experiences can make better writers, afterall.
I especially like to write about art, writing, travel and history. Naturally, that would include art history, and almost anything related to the Rennaissance. I'm particularly fond of Italy, and I spend a fair amount of time gathering material there.
I have a blog with which I report on Renaissance motifs and memes at play in popular culture.
I also write short fiction, but probably not here.
