Who am I? Well that is a complicated question and I dare anyone to try and define who they are and what they do. But as this is a 'Bio' I shall give it a go...
On a personal level I am a mum first and foremost, a wife, a daughter, a sister, a friend, a neighbour and the person walking her rather large labrador (Brad the Dog) down the street.
On a professional level I am an archaeologist, a writer and a author with an intense curiosity about all cultures and the past. Nothing makes me happier than spending hours investigating and exploring places from our past - actually doing it with my kids makes me feel pretty darn good too.
Living in a small country at the bottom of the world can be a little restrictive (the cost of flying anywhere is ridiculous) when it comes to indulging in my passion but as I have discovered there is plenty to explore and learn about in New Zealand too.
I have written several books - one is a non-fiction titled Cornwall in Prehistory, the remaining two are fiction titles aimed at the teen reader. A Viking Moon and A Megalithic Moon have allowed me to combine my love of the past and the writing of stories. In between times I have also written articles for The Celtic Guide and Mythology Magazine - both of which are available online, one is free and the other is not.
Plus just to top it all off I have a website where I post articles about stuff that tickles my fancy and is actually a weird combination of New Zealand history, Cornish history and other bits and bobs...
That's me, sort of.
