Kingston Upon Hull: Walking Round Hull City Town

I just thought I'd write a hub on a days walk out in town, the city of Hull where I live and take photos of everything that I pass, a chance to test my new digital camera (ok it's the wifes!!) Hull city was once one of the most prominent fishing towns in North Humberside and there are remnants of this in evidence with the Fish Trail.

The fish trail is a trail of fish(how obvious!) in which there are metal fish and carved out stone fish embedded in the pavements to follow all around the town centre and it takes you on a small journey all around Ferensway and Market square.

There is also the Hull Marina, here I took a few pictures of the marina where the boats are docked to set the scene of Hull as a once vibrant fishing town.

Our local park has gone through many changes over the years, but what I always remember as a kid that has still remained is the bird avary and the years old trees.

West park for me seemed as a child larger than it is now, but I think that's the case with all memories of places I visited when I was younger.

On the side of west park there is the fairly new KC - Stadium which is where all the towns local football team do all of their home matches and also further back at the walton street park and ride site is where Hull fair is every October, Hull fair is a massive travelling fair with expensive rides and stalls but hey it's only once a year.

Also on the Walton street site, the market happens every Wednesday and on Sundays for bargains galore with a few market stalls and car boot sales.(Although the conterfiet dvd traders have been got rid of. thank god!)
