God complex in cats

Cats particularly my cat, have a complex where they think they are god. As we feed them, let them sleep all day, and give them lots of affection. They aren't so far off the mark, in ancient times the felines were revered by the Pharaohs.

Don't get me wrong, I love my kitty cat, she's gorgeous! Even if she has a bit of an ego.I want her to stay healthy, fit and affectionate for a very long and in order for this to occur a number of things are required to help her on her way to maintaining her godlike stature.

Cat health tips:

Desex,

It takes about a day and $200.00 however you won't have to worry about having to house the little of at least 5 extra little kittens, that will pop out of your adorable cat, if you don't. Cats can become an environmental nuisances, part of this is to do with the fact that they are hunters, and enjoy playing. Its a common courtesy to your cat as well.

Not desexing male cats, will cause them to pee, everywhere to mark there territory to attract a potential mate, not as endearing to an owner as a peacock flaring their lovely feathers.

Not desexing female cats, can become quite difficult to manage if you like them in the house and have white furniture, or sheets.

Vaccination: Very important for health and happiness, for a long healthy life.

Baths:

My cat is not a fan of baths, I keep the water low and luke warm, with a towel set up to wrap her in as soon as she can't stay in any longer and I have rinsed her the best she will allow.

This also helps her to remain freshly smelling! Also a fantastic to de-flea her should she require this.

Controlling the vermin: Your cat can help keep down the vermin population around the house, although if she is anything like my kitty cat, it is quicker cleaner and kinder on the vermin to deal with it yourself. She's not vindictive or mean - well if you put it this way, as her owner, the writer is considered a big toy by the cat, she stalks, pounces, and cuddles up too. So a little creature that runs under its own steam, and smells edible, is played with until it no longer moves.

For my cat she needs to have her fleas controlled it also assists with her desire to cuddle up to owner, and no small itchy red dots to be found on the skin.

What are the best methods for controlling the fleas?

Personally I don't let my kitty cat outside, she gets lots of sun sunning herself on the window sills.

However a flea collar doesn't go astray, that was until my kitty cat works on loosening it. So now she is bathed with flea shampoo.

Sunscreen the little nose, a poor kitty cat I owned as a child had cancer on her nose, due to being sunburned.

Nutrition

My cat gets upset and vomits when I change brands on her, so it was really annoying to find out the hard way. I originally started feeding her the same food we ate, mince based foods. Eventually it got boring eating those foods, so to keep my interest in food, we moved the cat on to, expensive cat food for a treat, little did we know she would love it heaps and heaps and vomit when introduced to any other brand.

Cat's need lots of water, particularly when providing dry food. Wet food (is what it was called in my childhood house) meat dishes, some with gravy, still need water too.

Cat Litter:

My Cat is a very clean creature and she hates having a dirty litter box, she hates it so much she will cease using it and find other places, ie the bedspread. If it is too dirty to her liking. So it is best to change it at least twice per week.

Cat play

Climbing, and scratching posts to help keep her claws trimmed

Chasing, through toys for the cat to catch, they are very versatile and can catch them in mid air.

Cardio activity is good for the little cat.

My cat also seems to know Pilates, and does a lot stretches, to keep her limber.

Affection:

Patting, stroking her back, sometimes she will let you rub her tummy.

Allowing her to sit for hours on your knee, and leave fur behind when she finally leaves.

When you cuddle her while standing up, ensure she feels secure and like she won't suddenly hit the floor so you avoid being clawed.

In conclusion:

My cat has a god complex, and enjoys a full healthy life as all cats should.
