Sunshine - If I Had a Tale That I Could Tell You

7 week old Heir to Throne

On my GenGen's farewell trip we had a theme song of sorts. We played John Denver hits for 3 weeks. So when a new little fellow became the Heir to the GenGen Throne, it seemed he should take the name "SUNSHINE". So Sunshine it is, and the little boy started off as my new little traveler.

Alabama

"sunshine, on my shoulders - makes me happy

sunshine, in my eyes - can make me cry

sunshine, on the water - looks so lovely

sunshine, almost always - makes me high"

North Dakota

"if i had a day that i could give you

i'd give to you a day just like today

if i had a song that i could sing for you

i'd sing a song to make you feel this way"

Levanworth, WA

sunshine, on my shoulders - makes me happy

sunshine, in my eyes - can make me cry

sunshine, on the water - looks so lovely

sunshine, almost always - makes me high

Malibu

"if i had a tale that i could tell you

i'd tell a tale sure to make you smile

if i had a wish that i could wish for you

i'd make a wish for sunshine all the while"

Home In the Shenandoah Valley

"sunshine, on my shoulders - makes me happy

sunshine, in my eyes - can make me cry

sunshine, on the water - looks so lovely

sunshine, almost always - makes me high

sunshine almost all the times makes me high

sunshine, almost always"

A beautiful hub Terry. Such lovely pups. It doesn't get better than John Denver.

How Beautiful!

Besides my grandchildren, the favorite thing in my life are dogs! Thay are all so unique, and seek nothing more than to make us happy! When my baby Pancho (120 pounds of baby!) sees me smile at him from across the room, he comes running! He puts his huge head in my lap and I know it is time for an ear rub!

Had my Puff (my last baby!) for almost 20 years, believe it or not! She was smarter than any two people put together! I don't think I will ever get over losing her...They are members of the family and that is how they should be treated.

Sunshine looks perfect!

Oh you made my day! This whole thing starts with a dog named the General. I saw many political hubs on your page but none with dogs. I took a break from GOP/TEA PARTY bashing and wrote about my dogs. Fay is doing such a great job I will let her pick up my slack. Thanks for the kind words. I will be reading yours soon. I have some housework to do now.

Dear Terry,

I don't write too much about my dogs, probably because I never get over it when I lose one, and I would not be able to see what I am typing, through the tears. I might just be a little nuts! I remember calling my uncle to tell him that Puff had died, and he said, "My God! You are crying more today than when grandma died!" I know it sounds terrible, but it was true! I thought I must be an awful person, but then when he lost his big, beautiful black lab, Sanchyo, he could not even speak, so I figured that the nuttiness and the 'awful' must just be genetic!

My younger brother use to sing and play his twelve-string guitar to all of John Denver's songs. 'Sunshine On My Shoulders' was one of his favorites. : D Loved your puppy and doggie photos. Marked your hub up, awesome and beautiful, cause that is just what it is!
