I have always loved writing and discovered ways to creatively incorporate this joy into my various "day" jobs. From writing articles on corporate art collections to interviewing employees for internal company newsletters, I have been able to keep in touch with that more creative aspect of myself. As a contributing journalist to Postive News (positivenewsus.org), I have been able to highlight uplifting world events to readers around the globe.

I have a unique background that combines two often opposing philosphies of the highly traditional with the very alternative. I received my MBA in finance in 1999 and spent 16 years in the financial services industry where I slowly realized that Wall Street just didn't make any sense; that it was truly an illusion. In 2003 I quit a well paying, secure job in the financial services (or more accurately, I ran from it) leaving this unreal world of smoke and mirrors and began to immerse myself in the alternative worlds of energy healing and yoga. In 2009, I met my most beloved Guru (Baba Shivarudra Balayogi Maharaj) and my life transformed forever. All this training in Reiki, Polarity Therapy, Pranic Healing and Gemstone Energy Medicine, and Yoga, as well as the wisdom imparted by my beloved Guru (Babaji), has made me feel like I have a much healthier perspective on life, and particularly life in today's socio-political environment. This period in history will be seen by some as a crisis, and by others as an opportunity for great change. I hope to help readers keep the latter view.

My articles draw on my background and experiences in life in an effort to share simple ways to make profound shifts in your life that can improve your sense of health, happiness and overall well being. The journey is not easy, and does not always have immediate results, but is certainly well worth it. Let's take this journey together.
