Bob Pond is the Founder and CEO of CerTech Gels, a premier engine ceramic that is proving engine wear to be reversible. Since 2001 when he retired from 30 years in the financial world he has been following his passion solving engine problems. He has seen his share of what there is to see in the emissions, fuel efficiency and engine rebuilding industry.
Working with individuals, corporations, school districts, cities and CARB/EPA his focus has been on solving these emission, engine and friction problems for over 12 years throughout Southern California. Everything from school bus smoking to street sweepers that wore out too soon because of excess bearing wear; from fuel economy to fuel lubricity. His solutions to those issues have come time and again because he was willing to think outside the box.
30 years in the banking world being analytical and measuring risks has stood him in good stead. His portfolios stood the test of time as well as industry and governmental oversight scrutinty well above expectations. He wants to see it done right or not at all.
Combining creativity and verifiability hasn’t always been easy. Organizations only want to work with products that are proven over the years. Yet many of the great ideas are just getting started and can’t find the resources to meet the level of proof needed to get in the door.
That is where Bob comes in. He takes the time to establish years of proof behind the products and through patience, presents the very best solution only after establishing a solid track record. He challenges existing beliefs and often finds new options to be considered.
"What I need to see is a product proven in the field in front of my own eyes. I need to see other people get the claimed results. I don’t care too much for 'government quality' lab reports because believe me, in working with cities and big corporations, I have seen too many reports costing hundreds of thousands of dollars in which technicians got it all wrong and 'proved' something that wasn’t true. Such as in the CARB MTBE fiasco. But don’t get me started on that."
