6 Ways to Improve Your Website's Ranking

Updated on March 26, 2015

Chapter One: Unique Content

Unique content is the first and most important rule of a website, because copy-paste posts will not increase your ranking for one reason only. The post already exists and more than 10 sites have already copy-pasted it or edit it. If you want to have a better ranking and more views in your website you must write unique posts. Use your imagination and we are sure that you will find something unique to write about it, especially if you are interested in it. You are not obligated to write hundreds of posts per day to get a better ranking. You only need to write 1 to 4 unique and quality posts per day and very soon you will see the improvement of your website.

Chapter Two: Social Media

Social media in 21st century help the websites a lot to get to a higher level. Facebook, twitter, pinterest, google plus, stumbleupon, Digg, Reddit, LinkedIn, pocket and many more help people to see and access your posts easier. Many of the most famous websites today have 50% - 60% of their views by social media, especially 20% of them is from facebook (likes, shares). The rule about social media is one, don't spam social media with your links and don't spam other users with your profile and your community page, because when you do this, many of the users will believe that your website is a scam or something else and that they should avoid it. Share your content to as many social media as you can but do not spam it continuously.

Chapter Three: Domain or Subdomain

yourwebiste.wordpress.com , yourwebsite.blogspot.com or www.yourwebsite.com ? The answer is obviously domains are the best choice, because all search engines choose them as their first result. When you have a subdomain is very difficult to be in the first page of google, bing, yahoo and other search engines. The reason is because they don't trust the content most of the sites have, that use subdomain , advertise torrents, adult content and things like that. If you want to make your work easier choose a domain from a cheap company, there are a few of them below that they are cheap and will help you to register a domain.

Register a Domain: namecheap.com / godaddy.com / register.com / 1&1

Chapter Four: Hosting & Datacenter

Hosting is very important too. At the web, you will find hundreds of hosting companies that you can use and establish your website with cpanel , softaculous and other helpful tools. Here is a list of the most fast, safe and good companies below. Hosting is important because you can control your website alone, without waiting admins and their response. You must be careful with datacenters, they should be located near to your country, because this will give to your website more speed, so users will not leave the site because of slow loading.

Hosting Companies: www.altushost.com / www.inmotionhosting.com / www.hostmetro.com / www.fatcow.com / www.greengeeks.com

Chapter Five: SEO

Search engine optimization (SEO) the second most important thing of a website. Without seo you’ll have no views and no profit for your website. If you use a cms platform like wordpress, drupal, blogger, tumblr, joomla and more , you will find at their official sites plug-ins that will fix seo automatically. You need of course to do some moves on your own. You need to name images with keywords and use alt text. Also you must use correct keywords for your posts that will be relevant with the post, use bold, italic, h1, h3 and highlight important things in a post. All these help google and users to find your site.

Chapter Six: Backlinks

Backlinks increase your ranking a lot , but be careful with them. Backlinks are links/banners, forum posts, blog posts that posted in other sites and advertise your site or a post of your site. The most correct way to use them is to talk with other web admins and create backlinks to each other’s site or borrow post with source link at the end. Be careful there, because the other site must be safe and fast like yours, not a scam or a site that advertise adult content. The more blacklinks you have the more famous your site becomes.
