Email Marketing Software, Essentials of Internet Marketing

Updated on December 25, 2012

Email marketing is the basic and the most powerful tool of internet marketing at the same time. So when you begin with your online business and start to get some traffic, how do you convert that traffic into sales and customers? There are different methods and they all work to some extent, but what is the bread, the very basic to internet marketing that will give us the highest conversion rates, well, you guessed it, it is email marketing. So when you start a business you need to ask yourself, which email marketing software to use and how to setup your email marketing campaign.

Well, setting up an email marketing campaign is not that hard if you have the right email marketing software, so again, which one to choose. If you are a seasoned marketer you have one choice, and that is Aweber autoresponder. If you are new in the business your best option is MailChimp, let’s look at why.

MailChimp

Aweber offers the most advanced tracking there is, which is the most important thing when you set an email marketing campaign. That is what tells you which ones convert, which don’t, how to improve your campaign, on what focus on etc… Without detailed tracking stats we would be sending our emails blindly hoping for the best while we have no clue what is going on. But besides great tracking Aweber offers one more thing that no other email marketing software does, and that is 99,34% email delivery, no one can guarantee those numbers beside Aweber, let’s face it, they have no competition if you want the best and their price is not higher than the other email autoresponders, it is on the same level or even cheaper.

MailChimp on the other hand is perfect for beginners, the reason why is the fact that it is incredibly easy to use and it has a bunch of starting tutorials that will make you an email marketing expert in no time. But that is not the reason why I recommend it to beginners in the online industry! The reason is the fact that MailChimp offers totally free type of account where you can have a maximum of 1,000 subscribers and send up to 6,000 emails. Yes, it is totally free with no strings attached, but why is that so good for newcomers? Here is the deal; if you are new you certainly don’t want to spend money on everything internet marketing experts and SEO gurus tell you to, so MailChimp is great because it offers a free account, but again, what does that free account mean for beginners. It means a free start, you have the opportunity to grow your list up to 1,000 people for free, which means you can have the autoresponder and a few other things pay for themselves once your email marketing campaign kicks in, and it will if you follow the tutorials. This is really a great opportunity for everyone wanting to learn and explore email marketing and get a free head start on building his own list.

So, that is the bottom of it, if you want the best stats in order to reach maximum ROI you will choose Aweber, no doubt about it. If you are new and want to explore for free your best bet is MailChimp, so give it a try, it doesn’t cost a thing and if you follow through you can earn quite a lot. Aweber vs Mailchimp, though one, but these are the two email marketing software brands I would recommend to anyone, after all, what is a business website without marketing, a store in the middle of nowhere, that’s what!
