wow, what a collection! impressive. I've got a topic for you- what advice would you give to spouses of those who have just started trying to build residual income?

Hey Starling! I DO have thoughts on this! First of all, I think spouses get frustrated because of one of two things:

1. The "residual" spouse is trying to create a full time living off residual type stuff, without providing a basic income in the mean time. Residual incomes should be built part time, not full time! It's just too hard for most people. In this case, I would ride the spouse like crazy to GET A JOB! Bring home some bacon while "pursuing the dream"!

2. The spouse has a basic income, but then spends ALL their available part time building the residual. In this case I say just help them commit to a reasonable schedule of say 1 to 2 hours a day, 5 days a week for the residual income. This is plenty if they use their time wisely.

And probably the best advice of all- talk to MY wife! She has endured the entrepreneurial lifestyle since 1993, all the ups and downs!

A quote for every occasion, very inspirational. I particularly like the ones on just going and doing it. Even the Bhagavad Gita, part of the Vedic tradition, which has been mis-interpreted for years as advocating a renunciation of activity says "not leaning on the fruits of action, do the job that is to be done" and says the true yogi is the one who acts, not the one wthout activity. So doing is a win on many levels.

Anyway, great thoughts, well worth visiting and re-visiting.
