Ping your site to increase your search engines searches

If you have a blog and you want to get your blog seen by as many people as possible, you will want to find a way of letting the search engines know when you have updated new content on your site. Pinging is when your blog sends out a message to tell the search engines that you have new content and that it should come and take a look at it. It is a quick and easy way to notify the search engines so that they will send a robot to crawl and index your webpages, meaning that your new content can be found in search engines in a quick and efficient way.

If you don't ping, you will be waiting for the search engines to find you naturally, and this might take a very long time. You will be losing precious time by not pinging your blog, Google likes current up to date information and you should to keep up to date with the search engines so that people can find your new posts as soon as they become available to read if you want to keep on top of your business.

When you ping new content Google robots will be checking out your site straight away so you should also ping your links to your blog as a way for search engine robots to find you, this will also increase your visibility with the search engines.

Even if you don't have a blog you should still ping new content on your website, its the best and quickest way to get indexed in the search engines, there are a couple of sites that will do this service for you. Mass Ping is a great free service that allows you to Ping and also allows you to provide tags for your posts.

Remember to only ping when you have new content, and ping any url's with incoming links to your sites, it will help your standing with the search engines.
