50 Hubs and I'm Just Now Getting Warmed Up

50 Hubs and Just Now Getting Warmed Up

Dear Fellow Hubbers,

When I first joined HubPages in February of this year, I was welcomed warmly by fantastic Hubbers such as KCC Big Country, Rochelle Frank, Dame Scribe, and so many more. Here I sit, writing my 50th hub, nearly 6 months later, and I still feel very welcome here in the wonderful HubPages community.

While writing my first 49 hubs, I have learned so many things about writing, interesting facts (both while reading hubs and writing hubs of my own), and so many cool things about the internet. Since I became a member of HubPages, my English grade has gone up in the writing department. Not only do I write better papers and journals, but I do it faster, and I find it easier. I am more confident when turning in my English papers. Secondly, I have learned so much while reading hubs from other hubbers, and when researching to write my own hubs! Useless information a good part of the time, but there are some very interesting hubs out there. And thirdly, HubPages was the second website I signed up for, Facebook being the first, and I have since signed up for tons of websites to improve traffic on my hubs. I signed up for various websites such as Twitter, StumbleUpon, Xomba, and more. Those sites did not improve my traffic at all really. They just are another place on the vast internet that a few of my hubs are posted on.

My friend and fellow hubber, John, or johnb0127 here on hubpages, told me about a website where you can create your own website and post whatever you want to – like hubs. So since then I have created 2 websites using webs.com, and one website using wetpaint.com. My first website, theparkinggarage.webs.com, has everything from guitars, to hubs, to pacman, to Xbox 360 games and more. Then, as an experiment, I created parkersvideogames.wetpaint.com. This was ok, but it looked very unprofessional and messy. Plus, there was no traffic. Recently, I created parkerk393.webs.com. It is dedicated to my hubs and my hubs alone. There are tabs for each different topic of hubs I have written, and links to all of my hubs. I am using it as a source of traffic to my hubs, hopefully producing more hub views and an increase in Google AdSense.

That leads me to the next thing I wanted to mention. I have not received a check from Google AdSense, nor am I close to getting one, but I have earned enough to say that I have earned money by writing hubs on Hubpages.com!

Ever since publishing my first hub, Acoustic Guitar Tonewoods, on February 16, 2009, I have gained 98 fans with tons of nice fan mail, and over 10,000 views. I do not know how that compared to the average hubber by their 50th hub, but I am so happy to have those kinds of stats!

It’s kinda funny, my friend John, one of two people who got me into HubPages, is publishing his 100th on the same day that I am publishing my 50th. Just thought I’d throw that out there. Haha!

Well, I just wanted to make a special 50th hub letting all of you know that I am just getting warmed up on HubPages! I plan to be here a looong time. Thank you to all of you nice hubbers out there that have welcomed me here to HubPages.

Thanks,

Parker
