Writing is beneficial for you in more ways then one. It can promote individuality, confidence, and a strong oral skill. However writing can also help in other ways.
For those suffering from Emotional or Physical stress writing about it for 15-20 minutes 3-5 times can help you have a better outcome. Many times it helps you get the stress out and at times for others to hear what you have to say and help you through it. Writing is also a good theraputic release for trauma victims.
A study has also shown long term writing by subjects resulted in fewer visits to doctor. Other results included fewer days lost at work, increased memory and better grade point averages in students.
Therefore always express yourself even if it's writing a journal everyday to yourself that no one else reads, or tell the world your story. Perhaps writing should become the new healthcare bill, and your employers will thank you.
