I beleive HubPages has locked code that keeps the HuBPage template from being messed with. Those widgets can only be placed on personally built webpages.( I think )(I may be wrong)(if so pls post so I know how ,too)  HubPages is considered a TEMPLATED (community) webpage! Hope that helps. Only HubPage CSS capsules(modules) or HubPage widgets work here.If something doesn't fir within a HubPage CSS capsule then its not editable into HubPages. Personally built wepages from source code are fine though. The HubPage webmaster has control of the capsuling code and what content is allowed in the HubPage template.

UW - said it best! question answered.

Use the capsules within your hub for ALL editing and affiliate selections, its easy and you will save your head from aching

You cannot post your own amazon adverts, otherwise people would just post their own amazon ads instead of letting Hubpages in on its 40% commission.
