This may have been suggested, but I couldn't find it by doing a search.
It would be nice and a little more efficient to be able to add multiple capsules of a certain type at once.
For example, if I already have an idea for a hub layout, I know that I want five text capsules, three photo capsules and two amazon capsules, I could type a number in and add these all at once. Then I can move them around once they are there.
This function is the main thing I miss from Squidoo (although, I much prefer HubPages).
Once you have one set up that way, every hub after that can use that once as the template. You have that option now. I have a pretty routine format and I always chose that hub that has that format as the template.
I have not used the templates enough, I suppose as I am still learning and trying out new things. Perhaps the ability to save more than one specific template, then, instead of trying to remember which hub to pick?

- The templates work on "unpublished" also , so you could create a few varieties of layout for yourself personally
Ive always been really happy with hubpages for making this feature happen
Hey, thanks a million, sunforged!
I didn't know that it worked on unpublished. That solves the problem altogether!
Maybe I should clarify. When you're setting up your hub it gives you the option between several template layouts. The last one is a template option that allows you to choose the same layout as any of your previously published hubs.
Thanks for that info. I haven't used that layout yet but was wondering about it.
thanks, I wondered what that last one meant when choosing your layout!
I always use the first template and then before I start doing anything I add in the capsules of text that I will need, the photo capsules, etc. then I rearrange them and reorder using the sidebar.
I hadn't noticed if it worked on unpublished or not so I'm glad sunforged was able to clarify that.

A feature that I would like to see would be the ability to save an unpublished template. E.g. If all my hubs have the same basic sequence of capsules, it would save a lot of time if I could simply pull down my template, populate it, then publish it with a new name.

The 'Start a new Hub' is very basic. Why not populate it with a QAP friendly Template.Whenever I start a new hub I have to add lots of new capsules and duplicates. The ones not needed could be deleted.Simone and others have provided advice to people who have their new hubs idled with advice such...

I like to add ebay capsules under "what you may need" sections before posting step-by-step instructions, however, to add multiple types of products you must add multiple capsules. This makes the page look like a disjointed clutter of ads rather than a collection of ads that are relative...

Okay, to start with, the features in the capsules we have are already pretty awesome, and my hat is off to the programmers for coming up with all these utilities. There is one additional feature that would be on my wish list, and that would be the option to "drag and drop" photo and map...

We just released a small update to the site. Among a slew of bug fixes and small updates, there are two notable changes. The first is that you can follow the comments on a hub, and receive email notifications when new comments are made. Just click the follow button near the top of the...

Ever since eBay introduced QCP, most affiliates are finding it far more profitable to promote "Buy It Now" items only. Go to any forum of eBay affiliates and you'll see that's the case.So it's highly frustrating that we don't have the option to "display Buy It Now items...
