My scoring is plummeting....from a high of 93 to now a 2 month low of 73.....including 78 to 73 in the last 5 hours.....what is going on?

No problem there. I guess it's a hub issue as others are saying.

Do you think the fact that so many of your Hub titles are worded very similarly might have anything to do with it?

Could be...but two weeks ago ...the score was going up....and then crashing down.....I am getting 100 hits a week on most of the hubs.....get great feedback through comments, viewer duration is sitting at 5.....

I looked at a couple and one hub was excessive in outgoing links.
I didn't check to see where all of the links were directed, but with so many outgoing links, traffic may be exiting and not remaining on your hubs. You don't want a paragraph of blue links.

The other hub I noticed had a very large graph of an actor's movies, etc. If this was copied from another site, it would be considered duplicate content. Have you received any warnings on your hubs?

I have gotten one notice of duplication....and that was yesterday....because two hubs on Doris Day pretty much came out back to back....both have her movies listed....while mine gives lots of information about the movies...the table is from my very own access database....and is not available anywhere else on the internet....as the formula I use is the one I made up....thanks for helping me understand

I have so many outgoing links because I read that bing/yahoo.....love lots of links....and I was having issues getting my hubs into their search engines....since adding so many links....... bing/yahoo....have been including them in their search engines....

If you have too many textual links; #1, it's distracting to the reader and #2, they may decide to check out the link and not return. I would keep relevant links, but reduce the #.  With the new ad layout, I think it helps to have a nice, clean looking page.

Something else you could try, to see if it helps, is to change your format. The large pic at the top is not helping. If you reduce your image size and move some text to the top, it should help. Perhaps do some experimenting with some of your hubs, and see if it helps.  smile

you're welcome, I hope it helps, I'm learning along with everyone else. I think we're all in some sort of cyber suspension with all of the changes lately, dangling in mid air, hoping to connect.

Did you also publish your hubs on Squidoo by any chance? You are free to do so, but duplicate content is no longer allowed here at HP, and it will definitely ding your score badly.

That could be the answer....I did put a few hubs.....on squidoo....and that was roughly when my score started going down......I have 3 lenses there that have been seen by 9 people....my latest Robert Downey Jr.  already has had 100 hits and 8 comments in less than 24 hours....so I think I should dump the Squidoo one.  thanks for your help.
