Born Again, a New Birth
New Life
In this fine life, lived upon this earth,
we all are joined, and with our birth,
in the sadness and greatest of joys,
is a recognition of our own worth.
We live each day, in great anticipation,
in a marking, this, is our reservation.
Done in good times, and in the bad,
with its wonders, our hearts are glad.
What comes tomorrow, we cannot know,
in each sunrise, our faiths, to show.
The times of trouble, the taxing debts,
a new avenue, the challenge, it lets.
Our heavy burdens, when we're low,
all ever changing, a new chance to grow,
The beautiful seasons, our feelings suggest,
a precious cycle, that it does to attest.
With each sundown, the moon to rise,
a celestial brilliance, within the skies,
In the darkness, as we all slumber,
in dreams, our best creations, without number.
The thoughts of yesterdays, on it relies,
a fantastic revealing, we do surmise.
Devoid of fretting, our senses may lumber,
a healing sleep, no fears, to encumber.
As we walk our pathways, in trepidation,
we see a testament, and an exhilaration,
Our times spent here, in what we've done,
of the roles we take, in the battles won,
The ones we've helped, without any hesitation,
the smiling faces, in our celebration,
As in our deaths, we unite as one,
in a great white light, our courses to run.
Born once again, in heaven's precious light,
Our new bodies within, with souls so bright.
