Energy Management Program
It is very important for building owners and operators to develop effective energy management programs. Energy management programs, when administered properly, can effectively reduce the amount of energy used in buildings. This effort will save money and conserve our fuel resources.
Major objective of an energy management program for any industrial or commercial building should be;
1. To reduce energy use without making large financial in investments.
2. To assure that the building meets federal and state regulations pertaining to energy use.
3. To improve the efficiency of equipment and reduce operation cost.
The principal policy makers of an energy management program are building owner or operators. However the many personnel who actually use the building primarily determine energy use patterns. People must be made “energy aware” because energy management is a group effort.
