Have You Ever Wondered?
Have you ever wondered if human kind,
is the most intelligent, has the greatest mind?
The whirling universe beckons us on,
to seek the answer, in what's unknown.
Have you mused upon the moon at night,
and stars that shine, so big and bright,
If all were gone, then to be no more,
would waves still tumble, against the sea shore?
Do birds and the insects, have a mind to think,
or rely solely upon their instinct,
Do animals in the wild, know when to sleep,
then each to have a schedule to keep?
How long will this world, keep turning about,
without any ears, could there be a shout,
How high can we go up, how deep, to go down,
what makes the earth so big and so round?
Why do we laugh when we're happy, cry when sad,
why are some days both good and bad,
When it rains, where does the water go,
what makes the Winter, with the ice and the snow?
Why is Summer heat so hot, while in the shade, not,
for us to know all this, we'd know a lot,
What is the worry, and should we be concerned,
of history made, are our lessons learned?
A childlike demeanor may be a best way,
in regards to this world, and to come what may,
For tomorrow will arrive, in spite of our desires,
and in hopes that to all, it each inspires.
The mysteries of life will always be there,
in their search for the answers, all will share.
Our wondering qustions fly, from birth, to our graves,
and in their quest, each life it saves.
