I Want to Homeschool, Now What ?
There are various reasons why people choose to teach their children school at home. Once this decision is made, than comes the hard part. The endless search of curriculums, homeschool resources, and parent reviews.
It doesn't have to be overwhelming, just take a breath !
The first thing you need to figure out is what platform you want to use. What this means is do you want to use a pre-set curriculum, or maybe an online one. Possibly a charter school.
There are many, options out there to choose from.
Homeschooling Options
Once you choose your platform for homeschooling, you can now narrow down your search tremendously.
A lot of people like to combine platforms, maybe a few books and some online courses.
Whatever you choose, there is a large amount of all of them.
One that has increased in popularity over the last few years is online homeschooling. The reason for this, is a lot of them offer schedules, grading, and organization. Without the parents having to do all the leg work. This is very appealing to a lot of parents.
The other most popular option is pre-set curriculums that are fully inclusive. It will include all books, tests, quizzes, planners, schedules, and workbooks.

http://www.easypeasy.com Totally free, and broken down into a schedule so all your child has to do is click on the links. You also don't have to register or sign up for anything !
http://www.abcmouse.com This one primarily focuses on letters, numbers, phonics, and reading. It's $6.95 a month. It keeps track of all your child's progress, and adapts the lessons to their strengths and weaknesses.
There is a free site called K12.
StarFall is a free reading site.
There is also Switched on Schoolhouse which runs around $300 - $500.
There are tons of other options ! Just do a search online, and you'll find what you're looking for !
