When You Make A Mistake
When you make a mistake it is good to be upfront and honest with yourself, denial causes you to repeat the same mistake deceiving yourself to believe it will have a different outcome. Thus more emotional baggage and consequences taunt your trail.
Don't dwell on mistakes, but shake the dust off your feet and move on by avoiding anything that will take you down that path again.
Sometimes mistakes can open up a new part of you. Identify what drove you to make that mistake and address it and make the needed changes.
Example: I have lashed out angrily at the ones I love and I felt so horrible, guilty, foolish and ugly. All the while I was not angry at them, but the emotional buildup from something completely different ,( like being unjustly wronged by someone, heavy stress, feeling insecure or even a physical element.) If I don't address the thing that seems to dominate my being I will usually transfer courses and that will ultimately lead to a mistake. Many times your mistake don't even reflect who you are. So take time for prayer or meditation and pinpoint the source before you can really resolve the problem. Personally prayer always helps me discern (me).
