What in the World is Quantum Jumping? (Article)
What On Earth Is Quantum Jumping?
Several years ago there was a popular weekly television program entitled, “Quantum Leap.” Viewers watched as Scott Bakula jumped from one dimension in time and space into another and when doing so became a different person from whom he was originally. It was cool, and we watched totally entertained by the idea, but since it was TV how many of us considered it plausible? Many learned scientists not only believe the universe has many dimensions, but also that it is possible to inhabit more than one in the same lifetime. Their hypothesis has been named, The String Theory and is more commonly referred to as a branch of Quantum Physics.
Quantum Jumping is the process of “jumping” into parallel dimensions, and gaining creativity, knowledge, wisdom and inspiration from alternate versions of oneself who are living in other dimensions.
To understand Quantum Jumping one has to explore Quantum Physics. I am not a quantum scientist, but will try to explain it in layman’s terms the best I can. Quantum physics is a branch of science that deals with discrete, indivisible units of energy called quanta. There are five main thoughts represented in Quantum Theory:
- Energy is not continuous, but comes in small but discrete units. (Strings)
- The elementary particles have both like particles and like waves.
- The movement of these particles is inherently random.
- It is physically impossible to know both the position and the momentum of a particle at the same time. The more precise one is known, but the less precise particles are not.
- The atomic world is quite different from the world we believe we live in.
I know, “clear as mud!” The theory suggests that we rethink everything we believed we knew about time and how the Universe operates. So, don’t be upset if you don’t quite grasp the theory. As Niels Bohr has remarked, (Danish physicist who made foundational contributions to understanding atomic structure and quantum mechanics, for which he received the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1922. ) "Anyone who is not shocked by quantum theory has not understood it." Scientific geniuses, including Stephen Hawking, Michio Kaku and Neil Turok, also had an intracal part in breakthroughs in the field of quantum physics.
So, if this is such an esoteric premise, why bother with it? Well, since when have I NOT wanted to bother with esoteric information? Because it’s there—all around us; and it explains much about our Universe and what this life of ours is all about. Other great scientists (I’m not including myself here!) like, Edward Witten, Juan Maldacena and Leonard Susskind believe that string theory is a step towards the correct fundamental description of nature.
And then there’s Super-String Theory, which is “an attempt to explain all of the particles and fundamental forces of nature in one theory by modeling them as vibrations of tiny super-symmetric strings. Superstring theory is a shorthand for supersymmetric string theory because unlike other string theories, it is the version of string theory that incorporates fermions and supersymmetry. Here, the word "super" has the meaning of super-symmetry.” All righty then!
Okay, now let’s get back to Quantum Jumping – which is, relatively speaking, a form of astral projection, but instead of projecting yourself to another location in this dimension, one projects (one’s spirit or essence) into a completely different dimension, or “string.” That would mean that your body stays in this dimension while your mind/spirit travels into another. Apparently, the thought process being that you might be doing things better in another dimension than you are in the dimension you now inhabit. Therefore, if one could jump into one’s alter-egos in another dimension one could pick up tips on how to do things better in this dimension—assuming they could get back once they left!
So, would that mean that your essence from another dimension would be able to “jump” into you in this dimension? Now, that’s a pretty scary thought! How would that affect someone? Would that explain split personality disorders? It sure could. Perhaps all those personalities are not the altered personas of the same person here, but are in reality that person in other dimensions. That would not make this occurrence a psychological disorder at all, but rather a physical one! Interesting food for thought… and a good excuse to use when you suddenly find yourself in trouble for doing something completely out of character. “I’m sorry officer, but it I didn’t shoot my wife—it was my alter ego from another dimension who did it.” Right, let me know how that works for you!
Is Quantum Jumping possible? Anything is possible, even if not probable. Most things are possible by simply opening up our minds to altered thought possesses. Nothing is black and white and not everything can fit into the neat boxes that were created for us when we went to elementary school. The world is not flat, we can fly in the air like birds, and the moon is not made out of Swiss cheese. It all comes down to what concepts we are taught and how our belief system affects our lives.
