Say hello to my little friend.
Say hello to my little friend.

This actor may not be known by everyone but soon everyone will know him well enough. He is slowly getting some important roles in important movies. Here are 5 reasons (as soon as I find more reasons it will become 10 reasons) that in my opinion should convince you to like Javier Bardem.

1. He is married to Penelope Cruz

Penelope and Javier first met while filming the movie Jamon, Jamon and they started dating in 2007. They always kept their relationship under radar and they got married in July 2010.

2. He once kissed Josh Brolin

Right don't go crazy on this statement as this happened during the 83rd Oscars ceremony. Don't ask me the reason why it was not aired, I don't know but it certainly was more appropriate than Melissa Leo's winning speech. As both Josh Brolin and Javier Bardem came out to present the Oscars for Best Original screenplay and Best Adapted screenplay, they started dancing and then kissed, as the camera then showed Bardem's wife, Penelope Cruz. I am sure she was pleased with this wonderful scene too!

3. Javier plays a bad-ass drug dealer in ''No Country for old Men''

If you haven't seen ''No Country for old Men'', please stop reading my hub, save it for later and go rent it on Netflix (link just above...maybe). This movie is one my all-time favorites. Javier Bardem plays Anton Chiguhr, a psychopath killer who is looking for two million dollars missing from a drug deal gone bad. Chiguhr won't stop at nothing for his money and the way Javier Bardem portrays him is just magnificent. His caracter just scares the creeps out of me. I mean who carries a silenced shotgun and a pneumatic weapon to kill his victims? Anyhow, I will not tell you anything more about this movie so I won't spoil the movie for those who still have to see it.

4. He won an Academy award

And guess for which movie? Of course ''No Country for old men''. He won the Oscar for ''Best performance by an actor in a supporting role''. ''No Country for old men'' also won the Oscar for ''Best Motion picture'' in 2008. His movie partner, Josh Brolin, also could have won it as his performance was brilliant.

5. He will play the villain in the next James Bond installment (Skyfall)

It has been confirmed that Javier Bardem will be playing James Bond's nemesis in the 23rd James Bond movie named Skyfall. I just can't imagine what the final result will be since I saw him playing in No Country for Old Men.

So here are five reasons, which I hope convinced you, why you should appreciate this actor.
