Justice League Action was announced in January, 2016. Yeah that's only five months, but with something like a new Justice League cartoon on Cartoon Network, I kinda expect updates on the progress to be more frequent. Especially since last I checked, it's airing Fall 2016. And yet, what we have so far is a list of characters displayed in a photo taken at the Kre8tif Conference in Malaysia and posted on Batpedia's twitter page. And yeah, admittedly I'm omitting several details, but that's only because I'm a tad irritated, as Cartoon Network's last Justice League cartoon, Justice League:Unlimited aired its finale ten years ago! It's been a decade since we've had a Jstice League cartoon, this in my opinion is something to get excited about. And they give us so little information to go on, like this is meant to fail. But in the interest of fairness, I'll unveil the other details that we have so far. For starters, Kevin Connroy and Mark Hamill are back to reprise their roles as Batman and The Joker, James Woods will voice Lex Luthor, and Deidrich Bader will voice Booster Gold... Which on a side note, I'mma withhold Judgement, until I hear Bader's performance, because casting him as Booster Gold, initially sounds like a bad casting choice. (Details for why in a later post...) But getting back on point, the series will have 11 minute episodes with action oriented plots. Which will be a nice change in pace from all the comedy-centric cartoons airing on Cartoon Network (Toonami not withstanding,) but I feel that might backfire as such cartoons seem to have a short lifespan on Cartoon Network these days.

But I digress, as regarding Batpedia's twitter post the image, according to Comic-book Resources features: "Blue Beetle, (what looks like) The Riddler, Doctor Fate, Shazam, Doctor Light, Mr. Terrific, The Joker, Killer Croc, Firestorm, Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Martian Manhunter, Big Barda, (probably) Zatarra, Ra's al Ghul, Harley Quinn, Hawkman, Lobo, Satan Girl, and (likely) Black Mask." Though on another side note, I have my concerns about Satan Girl being featured, but I'll get into details about that in another hub as well. But in conclusion, that's all the information we get. We don't get a specific premiere date, or how many seasons are planned. Though to be fair, this might last only 1 season. Despite that, I'm looking forward to Justice League Action, and I hope it's worth the wait.
