An Angel's Whisper - A feature film by Sonja Nelson Provost and LampShade Productions
Bullying...
Bullying is a nation-wide hot topic. One and five youths 17-years old and younger report being physically bullied according to the Centers for Disease Control's report on violence prevention. Three in ten report being teased or emotionally bullied. Social media is an enabler creating the perfect enviornment for electronic aggression or internet harassment. 8% of 10-17-year olds report internet harrassment. While there are currently programs available for both teachers and schools, the problem continues to grow. Children of all ages hurt themselves or take their own lives or lives of others. This is what's is reported in the news, but what about the victims that never come forward? Read more here: http://www.gofundme.com/7gxngs

LampShade Productions
What is in a name? How did you come with the name for your production company??
Well the funny story behind LampShade Productions is from our L.A. Premiere last year. I did my own stunts in the hotel waiting for our limo. While performing my stunts I took out a lamp and smeared my lipstick on the lamp shade. So Lamp Shade stuck!! Lol! It was a very funny moment and I left a lasting impression with everyone that was there! I didn't suffer any injuries... Just my pride was a little hurt. But I can laugh about it now and that's how we decided to name our production company!! Hope this made you smile!!
- The Truth About Cyberbullying
Bullying has turned high-tech, with children, teenagers and even adults turning to the internet to find new ways to be mean to their peers. What is cyber-bullying and what can we do about it?
Interview with Actress and Producer, Sonja Nelson Provost...
Sonja Nelson Provost, in my opinion is the sweetest soul you could ever met. Maybe is the southern kind of way, or maybe is one of the kind angels that was chosen to change the world, if we let her. Her latest project is a feature film about Bullying. But, let's hear from her...
Tell us about the project... is this a full length feature film?
Thanks Joseph!! An Angel's Whisper is a script written by Brandon Lofton. He and I are good friends and we had a discussion one day about making a movie and not just any movie. We wanted to do something that would make an impact. So I asked him to write an inspirational script. As it is right now, yes it is a feature length film.
Wow! How did you become interested in the project, Sonja?
I became interested the minute that Brandon and I spoke about it. Then when he wrote and finished the script, I knew it was going to be amazing!!
So, you need funding to get the production going?
We definitely need the funding for this film so that we can finish it and be able to get the message that this wonderful script has in it. We will co0me back to this project soon. So for now the GoFundMe link is not available...for now~
This might sound too personal, but I read that you were bullied as well. How this really affected you as an adult?
Unfortunately I was bullied as a child and it has left invisible scars that I deal with daily. As an adult I have learned to adjust and cope with these scars but it does hold me back sometimes. I struggle with low self esteem and not believing in myself. I have learned that choosing the right people in my life makes a big difference as well. Positive people help so much. It has been hard to love myself or to even feel like I have any self worth. I know now that I am important and that my dreams and passions in life are very important to accomplish. With that said, I want to focus on this project and share my stories with others. Reaching out and showing love is what this is all about.
Can you tell us about the screenwriter and the producer or company in charge of production?
Brandon Lofton is the screenwriter and him and I are producing this movie with our new company, 'LampShade Productions.' We want to build a team of people that will love doing more projects with us in the future!!

- A message from Scarletand Brandon Lofton
Scarletand Brandon Lofton and Sonja Nelson Provost make a direct pledge to you!
Can you imagine how many suicides can be prevented with this movie?
I can definitely imagine preventing at least one suicide at the least with this project. We want children and adults to know there is help out there. It is a lonely and scary feeling when you are bullied and feel like there is nobody to listen or help. If we help one person, then we have done our job. Our focus is to help a lot of people.
I can see your kids engaging in the project somehow. Am I wrong?
My children are amazing kids! I have taught them their whole life that it is NEVER okay to pick on someone or be mean. Teaching our children from day one by setting the example will make all the difference in the world. So, Yes, my kids support this project and what it means. My daughter will be seen in this film as well!
That's fantastic!!
How did you like this interview?
Before closing, and perhaps we missed to ask key questions. What else can you add to this interview?
First I want to say thank you for this interview! It means a lot to be able to share my feelings to anyone who wants to read this. Our goal with this project is to get put it on DVD and be able to visit schools and speak to children and adults.
This will be the start of a new beginning for all of us, and to be able to share a strong message with something we love to do. We will be shooting this movie locally where I live and casting as much local talent as we can.
Brandon Lofton has written a pledge that appeals directly to everyone, here is the link:

We would like our children to say and sign at all the schools we get to visit. This bullying topic has become a major issue even more so than when I was young. I'm very honored to share with you and hope that the readers will contribute to our fund. Thank you Joseph for this opportunity.
Thanks to you Sonja!
