Best Actors, Directors, and Movies of all time.

Updated on January 9, 2011

Best Actors

#11 - Gerard Butler - Gerard has been in some epic movies such as 300, P.S. I Love you, and Law Abiding Citizen. Gerard butler so far has not been in enough movies to be any higher on my list. He also so far has not been dynamic or diverse enough.

#10 Robert Denero - Denero has been in some of the biggest most popular movies of all time and plays his roles very well. The only issue I have is all of the characters he plays are way to similar to each other to see him be able to pull off a different type of acting.

#9 Edward Norton - Edward Nortons roles in Fight Club and American History X alone are enough to put him on a list with the greatest. I also think Edward Norton needs to expand and play charachters outside of his comfort zone, and latley I have not seen anything great by him.

#8 Val Kilmer - Val Kilmer (Tombstone & Batman) has amazing acting skills, he is able to act like different people and pull off different voices, accents, and manurisms. Latley though he has not had any movies out.

#7 Heathe Ledger - Heathe Ledger was a great actor and had the potential to be even higher on this list until his death. His greatest work by far was his role as the Joker in The Dark Knight. I believe his role and great acting skill is what killed him. He really got into his characters. He stayed awake and wouldnt sleep, and would take sleeping pills and energy pills at the same time and pretty much drove himself insane or crazy so that he wouldnt so much be acting when he was playing the Joker but he was actually literally in the mindset that he felt the Joker would be in.

#6 Nicholas Cage - Nicholas Cage has had some great work. A few of his best pieces are Con Air, Face Off, Matchstick Men, National Treasure, Lord of War, Bad Leutinant, Gone in 60 Seconds, The Rock, Ghost Rider, and Wind Talkers. His Characters rarley are diverse but some times they are.

#5 Brad Pitt - Brad Pitt pulled off some roles pretty well such as his performances in Troy, Inglorious Bastards, Fight Club, and the Oceans series.

#4 Jim Carey - Alot of people wouldn't have Jim Carey this high up on their list but he has both made movies that change film forever and pulled off charcters no one else could. Jim Carey for a period of time was one faced and only did comedy. Recently though he has pulled off some more difficult and serious roles to prove himself and I believe he did just that. Jim Carey was in the tv show In Living color, and the great roles he did in Batman Forever, Liar Liar, Dumb & Dumber which changed comedy forever, the number 23 (probaly his best performance), the grinch, a christmas carol, the truman show, Ace Ventura, Cable Guy, the mask, me myself and Irene, yes man, and fun with dick and jane.

#3 Tom Hanks - There really is no explaining to do here. Let me just list his greatest works. Road to perdition, Cast Away, Big, Philedelphia, the Davinci Code, Forest Gump, the green mile, polar express, band of brothers, the terminal, saving private ryan, apollo 13, sleepless in seattle, you got mail, and toy story.

#2 Johnny Depp - Johnny Dep is number 2 because he only takes roles for unusual movie or movies that are unique. By doing this all of the characters he plays are incredibly different from each other and he pulls them off like no other. Pirates of the Carribean, secret window, alice in wonderland, sweeny todd, willie wonka, public enemy, edward scissor hands, and from hell.

#1 Robert Downey Jr. - Robert Downey Jr. is the only actor I have watch act and at the end of the movie say "that was robert downey jr!!!!!!!?" His role in Iron Man and Tropic Thunder alone win him the spot at number 1. Tropic thunder is his best role.
