Patty Jackson's Annual Concert In the Park and Platinum Shows Summer Series
R&B and Old School music, filled the air with "bona fide number one records, all night long. We've got a lot of great oldies," explained Patty Jackson of #WDAS,105.3 FM. Captivating love songs such as Chocolate Girl, Rock Steady and I Only Meant To Wet My Feet, by the very talented and amazing Whispers, who were celebrating "50 years of making music." Dynamic #music was also presented by the powerful voice of Stephanie Mills, who performed such stunning songs as I've Learned to Respect the Power of Love, Feel the Fire, Home and I Feel Good All Over. Another special guest that made the show a complete mind-blowing event, was Freddie Jackson, who performed his hits You Are My Lady and Jam Tonight. It was truly a magnificent night of #R&B and #oldies at The Dell.
The Whispers Has Performed Fifty Years of Spectacular Music
Identical twin brothers, Wallace "Scotty" Scott and Walter Scott, have served as lead singers for #The Whispers since 1964. Nicholas Caldwell and Leaveil Degree, have created one of the most powerful singing groups. Gold, platinum and number one albums, were created, under the Solar and Capitol record labels which have inspired listeners for years. Today their music continue to bring joy to audiences all over the world.
Numerous hits were created by The Whispers, on the R&B and Billboard Hot 100 charts throughout the 1970's and 80's. Such hit as Rock Steady, "became their first Top 10 success on the Hot 100, reaching #7, while also capturing the #1 spot on the R&B chart," explained Wikepedia. This article also stated, "The Whispers was inducted in #The Official R&B Music Hall of Fame." This group, along with their song writing team and band deserve this award and a #Grammy, although they have never received one. The Whispers, have been one of the most talented groups in the entertainment industry. We look forward to enjoying their music for the next decades.
This show was what old school music is about. Patty Jackson, explained how live feeds for the show were not only on radio but also social media. As each artist ended their set and the next performer prepared to entertain us, audience members danced in the isles to the music of Gary O, who served as DJ. It was a spectacular #musical event.

Stephanie Mills Is One of the Most Talented Female Singers
She walked slowly on the stage as the audience roared with applause, singing Ease On Down the Road, from the four-time Tony Award winning play,The Wiz. Dressed in white, Stephanie, utilized her voice masterfully, as she performed beautiful love songs that were #1, gold and platinum hits. She mentioned admiration for such artists as Angela Winbush, Freddie Jackson and Bobby Womack. Before singing her major hits such as Feel the Fire and What You Gonna Do With My Loving, she laughed and said, "I am high off of myself and I am dizzy off of love." Stephanie, then sang one of her most intense songs, Feel the Fire. She also asked the audience to join her dancing, as she sang Put Your Body In It. For a finale, Stephanie, performed a powerful rendition of the critically acclaimed hit song Home, which she also performed in the award winning musical. The audience surged to their feet in tremendous applause. Stephanie Mills, has established herself as one of the most talented female singers that exist. We anticipate great music will continue to be forthcoming from Stephanie in the future.

Freddie Jackson sings his major hit "You Are My Lady"

Freddie, sang his chart-topping hits You Are My Lady and Jam Tonight. He proudly expressed how Harlem, New York, was his birthplace. He was also a backup singer for Melba Moore, after she discovered him in a nightclub. Jackson, debuted in 1985 under Capital Records with his hit Rock Me Tonight. He acknowledged that the very talented artist Keith Washington, wrote his hit Hey Lover. At the age of 57, Jackson said, "I'm not getting any younger, none of us are. I have been doing this for 30 years and I would like to give you thanks. If you do not buy our records, we could not make it." Freddie, was thankful for the success of his amazing hit You Are My Lady, which remained at the top of the charts for six straight weeks. This song was a success on urban contemporary radio, a R&B chart-topper and pop. Freddie Jackson's music, was a nice complement to the evening's array of captivating love songs. It was a great night of music. We look forward to new music from Freddie Jackson, The Whispers and Stephanie Mills, in the future.
