Cast of "Roseanne" Where Are They Now?

Updated on January 2, 2016

LOVE Roseanne!

You can't tell me you don't love Roseanne. This hysterical comedy lasted 9 seasons, ending in 1997. This was the type of show the average person can relate to, making it a lot of fun to watch. You have the typical family-- Mom, Dad, 2 Daughters, and the youngest son. You literally watch these young kids develop into mature adults. Throughout the sitcom almost every character stays the same, except for Becky (the oldest sibling) She changes once, but the original character comes back later on in the show. I followed this show growing up and i still watch reruns whenever I see it on television, I've grown to love Roseanne. Maybe you're wondering where's the cast gone and what are they doing now? Well, let's find out.

Roseanne Barr

Roseanne played a potty-mouthed, working-class mother of three on the show "Roseanne." In 2011 Roseanne appeared on Lifetime in the reality series, "Roseanne's Nuts." You get to see her running how own macadamia nut farm with her boyfriend, son, and two dogs in Hawaii, where she currently lives. It was cancelled shortly after the season one finale. Roseanne's recently been roasted on comedy central, which I must say was absolutely great. She's such a good sport.

John Goodman

John played Dan Connor, a hard working father of three and husband to Roseanne. After Roseanne he went on to some movies such as Coyote Ugly, O Brother Where Art Thou, and The Big Lebowski. He's also voiced on Monsters, Cars, and The Princess and The Frog. In 2012 he was in The Artist, an oscar winning film.

Sara Gilbert

Sara played Darlene on 'Roseanne', the second oldest child. She was the "jock son" Dan always wanted who later moved on from sports and showed her talent in art. When 'Roseanne' ended she showed up on some movies such as 'Riding in Cars With Boys,' 'Laws of Attraction,' and 'The Big Tease.' She's also had parts on shows like 'The Big Bang Theory' and 'Will And Grace.' In 2010 she began co-hosting on the talk show 'The Talk.' She also revealed that she is a lesbian at a press event promoting 'The Talk.' In August 2007 she gave birth to her daughter and in 2004 her partner gave birth to their son.

Alicia Goranson

In 'Roseanne,' Alicia played Becky. The oldest sibling, She had good grades in school, very popular, had plenty of boyfriends, and had a big butt according to Darlene. In season 5 she left the show to attend school at Vassar College, but later came back in season 8. Sarah Chalke was Becky number 2 while Alicia was in school. At school, Alicia majored in English. In 1999 she starred in 'Boys Don't Cry. She also appeared in 'Sex and the City' as a pregnant mother and 'Law and Order:SVU.' She's currently living in Brooklyn, New York at the Carroll Gardens.

Michael Fishman

Michael played DJ, the youngest child in the house. He played the role of the obnoxious little brother rather well. He worked on this show when he was 6 years old until he was 15. After 'Roseanne' ended he was seen in 'Seinfeld', and 'Walker Texas Ranger' as small roles. He's also made an appearance on 'Roseanne's Nuts' and co-hosted on 'The Roseanne Show' which was cancelled in 2000 after running for two years.

Laurie Metcalf

Laurie played Jackie, Roseanne's sister. After 'Roseanne', she later went on to appear on shows such as 'Frasier, 'Monk', 'Malcolm in the Middle', and 'Grey's Anatomy'. She was also in the movie 'Scream 2' in 1997 and was the voice of the mother in all three Toy Story films. She also appeared on 'The Big Bang Theory', her latest appearance in 2010. Also can't forget seeing her on 'The Desperate Housewives' as Carolyn Bigsby.

A Couple More Familiar Faces.

I've mentioned all of the immediate family members in 'Roseanne'. But of course there are many I didn't mention. We have Mark, Becky's boyfriend (Glenn Quinn). He was oh so hated by Roseanne and Dan. He had the ultimate bad boy look going on. Unfortunately, he was found dead on Dec. 3rd, 2002 of a drug overdose found on a friends couch. The autopsy showed it was a heroin overdose. His last film was in 2002 in 'R.S.V.P'. Then there's David, Darlene's boyfriend (Johnny Galecki). He's recently been on 'The Big Bang Theory' since 2007, he's also been seen on 'Hancock' and 'Entourage'. I know if you love 'Roseanne' as much as me, you'll really appreciate this article.
