Chris Botti: Talented, Amazing, Magnificent

Superlatives that are uttered when speaking about the Chris Botti Tour during and long after enjoying one of the greatest cultural events I have experienced in quite a while. When my spouse mentioned that we had tickets to the Chris Botti Tour in our area, I was excited. My excitement turned into amazement from the moment the artists took to the stage.

I totally expected to be mesmorized by Chris Botti on the trumpet, however the genius of surrounding himself with others that are equally talented in their respective areas of music genre was a delightful surprise.

The Incredible Musical Talent that Surrounds Chris Botti

Billy Childs (piano), Billy Kilson (drums), Mark Whitfield (guitar), and Robert Hurst (bass), check out the webpages of these musicians. It will wow you.

Sometimes A New Level Of Funny Surprises You

Lisa Fischer had a voice of an angel....not that I have heard an angel's voice, but if I imagine what an angel's voice sounds like....it must sound like Lisa Fischer's. What a refreshing talent and such an addition to the already awesome emsemble of instruments.

At one point, Chris Botti would do his trademark crazy sound on the trumpet and then Lisa fischer would parrot the sound with her magnificent vocal instrument. It was shockingly surprising, so charming, and so funny at the same time....entertainment at its finest. This fabulous musician has no boundaries and takes the lucky patron on a melodic journey with the trumpet as Lisa Fischer accompanies with her wordless vocal instrumental accompanyment. Way cool. Cudos to Chris Botti for taking us on a wonderful journey. We were entertained from the beginning to the end.

The Finale Included Children from Audience

At the beginning of the concert, Chris Botti asked the children in the audience to raise their hands if they played a musical instrument. He then instructed them to come up front and fill in any seats that were emply with the permission of their parents of course. They did so joyously. At the end of the concert, he picked two of these youths to join the ensemble on stage to join in on the drums and the piano for the finale performance. Can you imagine what a thrill that was for them. The young people selected played the drums and piano with a passion as instructed.

Christ Botti had a message....music is ageless, timeless, knows no boundaries, loves company, takes your heart on an incredible journey, and it is to be shared by all who will listen.

Hi jacqui2011, thanks for visiting. Yes I agree, such a great positive influence for musical exposure. He was promoting that everyone should consider participating in playing an instrument of some kind. He said it is an accomplishment you can be proud of for the rest of your life and I totally agree.

It sounds like it was an amazing concert. I especially liked that two children were invited to play on stage, that is a memory that will live with them for the rest of their lives.

Voted up and interesting.
