Since the heavily publicized event between Chris Brown and Rihanna on February 8, 2009 – how do you think the kids have been coming along? More so – who has been coming along the best? As 2011 rolls out, both artists have albums and tours to promote – but who do you think will reign supreme at the end of the year?

Rihanna’s latest album Loud, released November 12, 2010, debuted at number three on the US Billboard 200. She won a Grammy for Best Dance Recording at the 53rd Grammy awards with her song “Only Girl (In the World)” from the Loud album. She has been casted in the movie Battleship which is due to be out sometime 2012. Ticket sales for her Loud tour are debatable – but majority sources report that they are ‘sluggish’ and a few dates may have to be canceled due to low ticket sales. The tour starts out in Australia, then the U.S. and Canada, and then ends in the UK and Europe. Rihanna’s image is still favorable being named among Glamour magazine’s 50 Most Glamorous Women list and among Maxim magazine’s Hot 100 list. After the domestic incident her image really changed from pop star princess into an in your face rock star.

As for Chris Brown, 2011 has started off rocky but seems promising. With the naked photo incident flooding the internet and his ‘renovation’ to his Good Morning America’s dressing room – one would assume that 2011 might not be Chris Brown’s year. Actually, the truth seems to be completely opposite of an assumption. Chris Brown’s latest album F.A.M.E (Forgiving all my enemies), released March 18, 2011, entered the US Billboard 200 at number one and entered at number one on the R&B/Hip-Hop albums chart. He is to follow up the album with F.A.M.E (Fans are my everything) later this year. Ticket sales for his F.A.M.E tour are strong and steady. The tour starts out in Australia and then is to ‘supposedly’ come to the U.S. – this is just an assumption so far since only the Australian tour dates have been verified. His image has pretty much stayed the same (aside from the change of hair color) since the domestic incident – pop/r&b star with a little ‘bad boy’ stirred in.

Both Rihanna and Chris Brown seem to be doing well and being received well by the public. Who do think is coming out stronger in 2011 – Rihanna or Chris Brown?
