To help family, she joined amateur singing contests from town fiestas to competions on TV. In 2005, Charice joined Little Big Star and was eliminated after her first performance. She then came back a t the show as a wildcard contender and eventually landed third place in the finals. She had minor TV appearances but didn’t gain much recognition. She appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show and it became series of performances after performances. Some of the artists that Charice performed with are David Foster, Andrea Bocelli, Celine Dion, Beyonce, David Archuleta, among others.
