I Love The Superfriends!

Now that statement can mean a lot of things because there were so many different lineups on the Hall of Justice hero roster. No matter what series the following 5 Super Heroes were always there.

  1. Superman

  2. Batman

  3. Robin

  4. Wonder Woman

  5. Aquaman

Superman a/k/a mild mannered reporter Clark Kent is the all-purpose Super Hero who has great strength, can fly and impervious to everything but Red Kryptonite.

Batman & Robin a/k/a Millionaire Bruce Wayne and his ward the boy wonder Dick Grayson who defend Gotham City with Alfred's help.

Wonder Woman a/k/a Princess Diana of the Amazons is sometimes seen flying her invisible jet but is always packing her magic lasso.

Aquaman who's claim to fame is that he communicates with the fishes and is generally perceived as useless unless you're writing an episode of Entourage of course.

As a Kid I Wanted to Be Green Lantern soooo bad.

After "The Fab 5" there are several cool members of the Hall of Justice from the Challenge of the Superfriends series (pictured above) in which they would all face off against the awesome villains from The Legion of Doom. Those were..

  1. The Flash

  2. Green Lantern

  3. Hawkman

  4. Apache Chief

  5. Black Vulcan

  6. Samarai

These were multi-cultural heroes for a whole new generation.

The Legion of Doom

The greatest villains were assembled to make up The Legion of Doom and they were....

(Clockwise starting from the upper left corner)

  1. Lex Luthor - Evil Genius and Leader of TLOD was Superman's nemesis.

  2. Sinestro - Arch-enemy of Green Lantern and holder of a Yellow Power ring.

  3. Giganta - Nemesis of Apache Chief who could also grow to a massive size.

  4. Cheetah - Arch-nemesis of Wonder Woman who was Catwoman in Leopard print, basically. No powers.

  5. Solomon Grundy - has battled Green Lantern as well as Superman & Batman

  6. Gorilla Grodd - Arch-enemy of The Flash is brilliant, psychic & strong.

  7. Toyman - Superman and Batman have matched wits with this evil jester.

  8. Captain Cold - Another foe of The Flash who's always got his Freeze Ray.

  9. Scarecrow - This Batman villain uses a Fear Gas to to torture his victims.

  10. The Riddler - Another of Gotham City finest villains is recruited into TLOD.

  11. Black Manta - is a formidable foe to Aquaman. His voice and look are sick.

  12. Brainiac - Super-intelligent andriod who often fights Superman on his home planet of Krypton.

  13. Bizarro - the evil doppelganger of Superman who we all know comes from Bizarro World thanks to Jerry Seinfeld.

Other heroes who would show up in special guest appearances were

  1. The Atom

  2. Plastic Man

  3. Hawkgirl

  4. Green Arrow

  5. Rima The Jungle Girl
