LAXX: Claiming His Spot In The Trap Game

LAXX is already a huge sensation in the United Kingdom, but this musically inclined trap rookie is finally gracing the United States with his incredible music. He has already managed to gain support from big-name DJ's such as Knife Party, Koan Sound, SKisM and Flux Pavilion. He is signed with Never Say Die records, an acclaimed record company that also has Zomboy, HeRobust, Eptic, and much more signed with them. Fortunately for LAXX, being signed with such a prestigious company is definitely helping get his name out by producing his songs and making them available to the public. He has also remixed more popular songs like "Gold Love" by Flux Pavilion, "Raptor" by Zomboy (mutually remixed with SKisM), and "Lazy" by MUST DIE! so he can out his name on more popular songs.

Rookie Trap Stars To Watch

I guess you could say that LAXX has already gained a decent amount of attention considering he has over 30,000 followers/likes on both Soundcloud and Facebook. But unfortunately social networking isn't going to guarantee you a good spot on The DJ List (http://thedjlist.com/). The entertainment industry is a vicious game that ultimately ends up being more of a "survival of the fittest" kind of concept. Securing your spot at events across the country, whether it be an opening act or headliner position if you're prominent enough, is crucial to success and growth in the industry. LAXX isn't currently on tour, but he does a good job at landing frequent gigs around the country as an opening act.

LAXX is certainly not the only rookie trap DJ making his way up to the top. Below is a list and chart featuring new trap producers to enter the industry. I created the list solely off of my own personal opinion and popularity rankings can be found via Soundcloud.

  • Diamond Pistols
  • Smookie Illson
  • De La Bass
  • GAWTBASS
  • Cesqeaux
  • The Hi-Yahs
  • Nghtmre
  • Baewatch
  • Flechette
  • Something That
  • Airia
  • SubtomiK
  • DEBROKA
  • Loralz

All said and done, LAXX is clearly well on his way to be considered a big-name trap artist. His dedication and passion for music is portrayed through his songs. The intricate combination of kick drums, snares, hi-hats, and of course the crucial heavy vibration of the 808's, make LAXX's style so powerful. If you are a die hard trap head, then LAXX needs to make his way up to the top of your priority list. You won't be disappointed!
